MOCHA

February '24

Through exploring the goals and problems faced by art museum visitors via a series of interviews and reiterative usability tests, I designed a desktop website for MOCHA, the Museum of Contemporary Hispanic Art. This website uniquely allows for deep exploration into the museum’s art collection that seamlessly integrates with a museum map to find the artworks of interest in the real world. Additionally, this website considers that visiting an art museum is often one stop during a trip out on the town and thus helps to provide nearby suggestions to continue the fun. Finally, the website also incorporates standard expectations that a museum visitor may have, such as details on events at the museum, visitor information, and background on the museum itself.

Suds Buds

December '21

Our four-person design team (Me, Ishika Chandel, Ann Maris Walton, and Catalina Alonso) conducted eight contextual interviews in shared living spaces of college students to understand the problems that they face. Our key insights included students feeling uncomfortable confronting their roommates about chores and having hectic schedules that makes chores low priority. After a series of design iterations and usability tests, we developed Suds Buds, a zero-click system for automatically refilling household essentials.
